Dr. Michael R. Zalima

Chief Executive Officer and Founder

Dr. Michael R. Zalima is the founder and guiding light for the direction of the firm from both a strategic and human resources standpoint. Through this role, he oversees the firm’s endeavours in best utilising the energy and knowledge of its people, providing appropriate and enhanced investment opportunities for its clients, developing meaningful relationships, and providing organisational clarity and reliability.

During his 34 -year career in the investment world Dr. Michael R. Zalima has worked in virtually every sector of the industry, from compliance and venture capital to corporate services. Prior to founding Zalima Trading Limited he oversaw client services (High Net Worth & Ultra High Net Worth) for a well-respected Singapore bank where he built a successful a team that served the banks international clientele. Zalima has worked in the financial services industry since 1985.

Dr. Michael R. Zalima earned a BS in economics from the University of Oxford.

Henry Talbot

Director of International Trading

Henry Talbot is responsible for overseeing the firms operational side which encompasses all technical and systems requirements, and works closely with the leadership team to effectively carry out the firm’s growth initiatives. He brings a wealth of experience in strategy, operations and finance from within the asset management industry.

Henry Talbot has over 30 years of experience in the investment management sector. Prior to joining Zalima Trading Limited he held senior executive positions, including Chief Operating Officer, at leading asset firms in United States, Singapore, Hong Kong and the U.K.

Henry Talbot holds a B.A. from McMaster University Hamilton Ontario and an M.B.A. from UCLA.

Maxwell R. Harris

Senior Investment Advisor

Maxwell Harris heads the investment committee and our team of analysts. He has a broad investment background and is an accomplished investor in all sectors with a deep knowledge of emerging markets, he is responsible for managing the firm’s investment management teams and chairing the Global Investment Committee.

Maxwell Harris has more than 20 years of industry knowledge. He boasts an extensive and thorough investment management history, working together with both individual and institutional clients within the U.S. and Singapore. His primary area of expertise is enabling key investment teams to determine their investment advantage by applying potent portfolio structure and risk management strategies. During his career, Maxwell Harris has mastered equity and asset-allocation strategies with a sound focus on quantitative modelling. Prior to Zalima Trading Limited, Maxwell Harris advanced rapidly into senior positions, which included CIO and CEO at a Singapore-based insurance firm subsidiary, and management positions at several asset management firms in the U.S
